The second Europa League slate of the evening includes four games that all kick off at 20:05 GMT (15:05 EST). This article goes through each position and picks out the best two players at each one to consider for your line-ups.
David De Gea – ($5,700) – Man Utd – De Gea and United welcome Feyenoord to Old Trafford for the penultimate round of games, a team that has scored just three goals in the competition thus far.
Alisson – ($5,500) – Roma – Another side that has a disappointing mark of three goals in the Europa League is Viktoria Plzen and it just so happens that Roma welcome them to the Stadio Olimpico on Matchday Five. Alisson only plays Europa League games for Roma and has amassed a 6.75 fantasy points per game (FPPG), which looks disappointing on the face of it but should increase against goal-shy Plzen.
Antonio Valencia – ($4,800) – Man Utd – Valencia’s last three appearances in the red of Manchester United have been exactly what we’ve come to expect. The Ecuadorian averages 9.6 FPPG and 6.3 crosses per game in that run, something that manager Jose Mourinho will attempt to exploit in this crunch clash.
Yeray – ($3,300) – Athletic Club – Centre backs very rarely find a place in targets articles, however, the young Basque defender is scoring good value points at this price. In the back-to-back games against Genk, Yeray had 12.5 FPPG and hit double-digit points in both games. That included one assist and across the Europa League campaign he averages 2.3 tackles and 4.8 interceptions per game. Picking Yeray will also give you valuable salary relief to utilise elsewhere. Always a plus.
Paul Pogba – ($8,000) – Man Utd – Pogba’s form for United has been improving by the week and is beginning to show why the club invested so heavily in his services. Pogba has saved some of his best performances for the Europa League, where the Frenchman has two goals in four starts whilst averaging 2.3 shots and 1.8 tackles per game. On home soil and in a game they need to win, it’s time for Pogba to turn up the volume on his form.
Wilfred Ndidi – ($4,800) – Genk – Ndidi, who is now listed as a MF on DK, has not dropped below 10 fantasy points on any of his four Europa League appearances and scored 18 points in the exciting 5-3 loss to Athletic Club last time out. Ndidi’s 7.5 tackles per game is the best mark of any player in the competition but at this price you can expect his ownership to be very high indeed.
Aduriz – ($9,000) – Athletic Club – Aduriz put on the fantasy performance of the season so far by scoring five goals in the tumultuous 5-3 win over Genk on Matchday Four. That resulted in a 67-point return and, whilst a repeat is highly unlikely, his goalscoring prowess means he’s worth a look on this short slate.
Leon Bailey – ($7,500) – Genk – Bailey has been one of the finds of the season in the Europa League and the best news about his price being this low is that you can stack him with any of the big guns. In four Europa League games, Bailey averages 24.6 FPPG and has four goals. His 4.8 shots per game is the most of anyone in the Europa League this season and with Genk back on home soil he should add to his stellar goal record.
