We have a rare midweek, six-game EPL slate, with a few heavy home favorites worth targeting for your DraftKings lineups on Wednesday. Squad rotation is inevitable with the congested holiday schedule, so be sure to monitor starting lineups as they are released to be sure you aren’t left with an inactive player. Let’s take a closer look at the top targets and values, with potential squad rotation in mind.
Alexis Sanchez – $10,200 – Arsenal – Sanchez delivered a stoppage time game-winner at Burnley on Sunday to finish with 18 points and salvage an otherwise quiet game. Now Arsenal return home, where they’ve won all six Premier League games played at Emirates Stadium this season — scoring at least two goals in each game. A home game against a Huddersfield squad that have lost their last three road matches by a combined score of 9-0 presents a prime opportunity for Sanchez to turn in another big performance.
Others to Consider – Sergio Aguero (Manchester City; $10,600), Alvaro Morata (Chelsea; $9,600), Alexandre Lacazette (Arsenal; $8,300)
Jordon Ibe – $4,800 – Bournemouth – Ibe has taken the majority of Bournemouth’s set pieces over the last three games and, with Junior Stanislas doubtful for Wednesday’s match with Burnley, he could be in-line to resume that role in a favorable matchup at home.
Others to Consider – Willian (Chelsea; $6,300), Joshua King (Bournemouth; $6,000), Marko Arnautovic (West Ham; $5,800)
Kevin De Bruyne – $9,600 – Manchester City – De Bruyne took five of Manchester City’s seven corner kicks and finished with eight crosses in Sunday’s win at Huddersfield. He’s averaging over 14 fantasy points per game (FPPG) across his last five EPL appearances, and with Manchester City in a good spot to extend their big lead atop the Premier League table, look for De Bruyne to continue to be active in the attack.
Others to Consider – Philippe Coutinho (Liverpool; $10,100), Eden Hazard (Chelsea; $9,800), Gyfli Sigurdsson (Everton; $7,800)
Cesc Fabregas – $6,600 – Chelsea – This play hinges a lot on projected squad rotation, as Fabregas’s fantasy value takes a hit if teammate Eden Hazard is in the starting lineup. Fabregas has taken 49 of Chelsea’s last 70 corner kicks, and if the lineup works in his favor on Wednesday he has a good shot at hitting value.
Others to Consider – Marcos Alonso (Chelsea; $6,000), James Ward-Prowse (Southampton; $5,100), Jack Wilshere (Arsenal; $3,700)
Davide Zappacosta – $5,700 – Chelsea – Zappacosta’s punched double-digits in three straight EPL starts, including a 10-cross, 13-point effort at Liverpool on Saturday. He’s at risk of rotation considering he’s started each of Chelsea’s last three games, so be sure to have a backup plan in place in case he’s left out of the starting XI at home against Swansea.
Others to Consider – Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool; $5,400), Sead Kolasinac (Arsenal; $5,200), Charlie Daniels (Bournemouth; $4,900)
Jonjoe Kenny – $3,800 – Everton – Kenny crashed back to earth with just two points on Sunday after hitting for seven or more points in his three previous starts. While good value can be found in other defenders such as Southampton’s Cedric Soares and Ryan Bertrand, Kenny has a better matchup at home against West Ham and is available for slightly less.
Others to Consider – Cuco Martina (Everton; $4,200), Cedric Soares (Southampton; $4,100), Ryan Bertrand (Southampton; $4,000)
Petr Cech – $5,900 – Arsenal – Cech has a clean sheet in consecutive games and suddenly Arsenal are back amongst the top four in the Premier League table. He’s in a good spot to keep it going against a Huddersfield attack that hasn’t scored a goal in five straight road games.
Others to Consider – Thibaut Courtois (Chelsea; $6,000), Ederson (Manchester City; $5,800)
Lee Grant – $4,000 – Stoke City – Grant faces a big challenge in keeping a potent Liverpool attack in check, but playing at home, he’s worth a look for the savings he offers. We can count on Liverpool firing off multiple shots, and if Grant’s up to the task, he’s in position to rack up points through saves.
Others to Consider – Nick Pope (Burnley; $4,300)
